12 Km. E of center of Santa Cruz, on road to Cotoca. Secondary (30-40 years old) subtropical semi-deciduous forest, the tres to 15 m. tall, dominated by Anadenanthera macrocarpa, Gallesia integrifolia, Rhamidium elaecarpum.

Observaciones:
Tree 15 m tall, 40 cm diam.; bark pale, furrowed; sap copious, White. Leaves of this species (whole genus?) usually galled. Infl. horizontal or ascending, slightly & sweetly fragrant, visited by honeybees.
