Observaciones:
Tree 18 m tall, with ventricose trunk, nearly 1 m in diameter at 4 m from ground; spines not apparent. Flowers abundant (the species in full bloom now), mostly on branches with most of leaves fallen, seen visited by hummingbird, apparently odorless;
